Randy Kurtz - Senior Estimator
Managing Member

Mr. Kurtz has 30 years of professional experience in construction, agricultural and development project, and mine reclamation. He has extensive technical and management experience with agricultural and development construction activities including: irrigation and stock water pipelines and storage tanks, PE main and yard lines, steel mains, concrete structures, excavation activities, concrete flat work, fiber optic lines, gas lines, septic systems, curbs and gutters, and civil construction.

Mr. Kurtz has managed and implemented mine construction and reclamation including: waste rock removal, soil mitigation, concrete demolition, material hauling, grading, and road improvements. He also has knowledge and experience in heavy highway construction including: earthwork, concrete box structures, reinforced concrete pipe installation, asphalt, drainage improvements, grading, paving, pipeline installation and insulation. Mr. Kurtz is trained in traffic control, utility relocation, stormwater control and BMP installation, personnel training, project scheduling, and cost management.

Mr. Kurtz has over 27 years of professional experience with every aspect of construction in mining, industry, development, agricultural, and government projects. He has management and technical experience with mine construction and reclamation including: waste rock removal, soil mitigation, concrete demolition, material hauling, grading, and road improvements.  He has extensive knowledge and experience in heavy highway construction including: earthwork, bridges, concrete box structures, reinforced concrete pipe installation, asphalt, guardrail, drainage improvements, grading,  paving, pipeline installation and insulation. 

Mr. Kurtz  has managed and implemented agricultural and development construction activities including: concrete structures, fiber optic lines, stock water pipelines, stock tanks, gas lines, irrigation pipelines, septic systems, water storage tanks, curbs and gutters, concrete flat work, and civil construction. He is trained in traffic control, utility relocation, stormwater control and BMP installation, personnel training, project scheduling, and cost management.  Mr. Kurtz also holds Arizona and New Mexico contractors licenses for grading and drainage



Wayne Erickson
Managing Member


Mr. Erickson has over 29 years of environmental and natural resource planning and management experience including natural and cultural resource baseline studies, mitigation and reclamation plans and mitigation and reclamation performance monitoring. Services have been provided to public agencies, domestic and international private companies and Native American clients.

Projects have included: Site specific reclamation/revegetation plans using native plant material; Hydrologic reconstruction planning for drastically disturbed lands; Stormwater runoff management, erosion and sediment control plans; Topsoil inventory, salvage and reconstruction plans; Wildlife inventories and mitigation/enhancement plans; Threatened and Endangered wildlife and plant species inventories and impact management; Jurisdictional wetlands inventories and mitigation plans; and Cultural resources inventories and mitigation plans.

Mr. Erickson has extensive experience interacting and negotiating with regulatory agencies and private companies. He has developed and obtained permits required for development of a variety of land uses. As Principal Scientist, Mr. Erickson has interpreted regulatory requirements and evaluated a wide variety of native vegetation communities for mining and land development purposes. He has been a leader in the development of techniques for arid and semi-arid rangeland reclamation. Plant species diversity goals have been achieved using broadcast seeding techniques at low application rates with native plant materials. Projects have been successfully completed for clients in environments ranging from alpine to desert habitats.



Ken Carlson
Managing Member


Mr. Carlson has over 23 years of environmental permitting and operational experience in the mining, electric utility, waste disposal and land development industries. He has technical and project managerial expertise in environmental resource issues and projects including RCRA-equivalent soil covers, baseline data collection and assessments, EIS, reclamation success evaluations, closed mine management, reclamation liability releases, noxious weed control, and environmental compliance/audits. He has completed a large number of baseline soil, vegetation, T&E, alluvial valley floor, and wetland surveys, topsoil substitution and overburden suitability determinations, acid/alkaline soil/overburden handling plans, and disturbed land reclamation planning and implementation. As a Certified Professional Soil Scientist, Mr. Carlson has the experience to map and evaluate soil resources, develop soil handling plans, and evaluate soil and overburden suitability for revegetation and topsoil substitution. Mr. Carlson has an excellent knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to mining and land development, and has extensive experience interacting and negotiating with regulatory agencies. He has completed projects in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

Brock Falk - Project Engineer/Estimator

Brock Falk has 10 years of professional experience as a project engineer, crew chief, and driller’s assistant including crew management, land surveying, bidding, paperwork management, progress reporting, budget tracking, plan preparation and report preparation.
